Carter wasn't always the easiest person to meet with because he was actively dating while juggling the life of a single parent with two jobs, those two jobs been a lead actor in a hit television show and a high school gym teacher so if he ever wanted to meet with Carter he knew he had to make a special effort to go find him when the guy had at least a lunchtime free so they could talk about whatever he needed to talk about. He also liked meeting with his cast about once a week at least separately so he could understand any issues they may have and how well they're keeping up in the town. Out of all the actors he could rely on Carter the most because he came from a hardworking background instead of a rich parents background from Hollywood like most of the others came from and as a result lacked a lot of responsibility.
It was regular for him to call up Carter to ask him to meet him for lunch and it was regular for Forrest to go to the school Carter worked at so Carter didn't lose any time during his break from transportation and driving from one place to another. On the other hand half of Forrest's jobs involved driving from one place to another to go into another meeting so it was no big deal for him to come to the school almost every week. This week though he said he had something special for Carter that he wanted to present to him in person. A gift he thought Carter would like.
Heading to the physical education department he then went over towards the faculty offices and knocked on Carter's office door. "You there Carter? I got something pretty exciting." As much as he seemed to pump up whatever he had he didn't seem to bring whatever it was with him because he carried nothing with him but a script for the next show, which certainly wasn't what he was talking about before on the phone.
